The Power of Push Ups

Often a highly underrated exercise, push ups can be a quick way to improve your overall upper body strength and in turn increase punching power. Simply by dedicating 10 minutes or so every other day you can gain a noticeable difference in strength and this is the great thing about push ups. No trip to the gym is needed, they can be completed in the comfort of your own home. Many think that strength can not be achieved without the use of dumbbells, weights or a gym but this is simply not true, top results can be achieved without ever lifting a dumbbell or taking out a gym membership. The only thing that training a home won’t help you with that a gym will is dating which, as we all know, the gym is one of the best places to meet new people.

Just about every muscle in the upper body receives a workout with push ups and in particular great shoulder strength can be achieved and provided you eat an adequate amount of protein and carbs, muscle mass will be added over time. However, if you’re really looking to bulk then that’s another story entirely and one that will take extensive knowledge, dedication and a long period of time, anyone that says different is either using anabolic steroids, has no clue what they are talking about or is simply lying like a wolf!
